Manager, Technical Product Support – Florida SHOTS
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Manager, Technical Product Support to lead interoperability and technical integration efforts for Florida SHOTS, the State of Florida’s Immunization Information System.
This role is responsible for managing the technical interface between healthcare organizations, EHR systems, and Florida SHOTS, ensuring seamless data exchange, system performance, and compliance. You will operate at the intersection of healthcare technology, data integration, and stakeholder management, serving as the technical authority for interoperability across the program.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Interoperability
- Lead and manage technical interfaces between EHR systems and Florida SHOTS
- Oversee system integration, data exchange, and interoperability workflows
- Review specifications, conduct testing, and support system modeling and implementation
- Act as the primary escalation point for data connectivity and message failures
- Partner with EHR vendors and third-party transport providers to resolve integration issues
- Lead troubleshooting sessions related to HL7 messaging failures and connectivity errors
- Collaborate with:
- Interoperability teams
- Field trainers
- Healthcare organizations
- Ensure successful onboarding and ongoing support of participating providers
- Conduct routine data quality audits and connectivity reviews
- Identify and resolve:
- Data upload failures
- Connectivity issues
- Duplicate accounts
- Ensure consistent, accurate data flow across all participating organizations
- Provide technical training and guidance to:
- Healthcare providers
- Medical software vendors
- Support implementation and troubleshooting of:
- EHR documentation workflows
- Vaccine inventory setup
- Partner with field teams to improve adoption and usability
- Deliver monthly updates and performance reports to Department leadership
- Communicate progress across:
- Interoperability initiatives
- Data quality improvements
- System performance metrics
- Participate in weekly and monthly stakeholder meetings
- Maintain current knowledge of:
- CDC vaccine codes and manufacturer updates
- Industry standards and interoperability protocols
- Contribute to Florida SHOTS specification documentation updates
- Represent the program at conferences, trade shows, and industry events
- Ensure strict adherence to data security and confidentiality policies
- Maintain compliance with all state and public health data requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience
- 7 years of experience in:
- EHR systems
- Network administration
- Healthcare technology environments
- Deep understanding of:
- Immunization Information Systems (IIS)
- Healthcare data integration and workflows
- Strong experience with:
- HL7 messaging standards (VXU, QBP)
- SOAP/web service integrations
- EHR system implementation and connectivity
