Maintenance Technician (Residential Apartments)
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of residential apartment communities. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and has experience with a variety of maintenance tasks.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Overtime and occasional weekend work as needed
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance requests and repairs in occupied and vacant apartments
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting repairs
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Assist with apartment turns (make-readies)
- Maintain the grounds and common areas as needed
- Work safely while providing excellent customer service to residents
- Work effectively as part of a maintenance team
Qualifications
- Experience in apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, or a related field
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read basic schematics and electrical diagrams is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle for travel between properties
- Must have your own basic hand tools needed for routine maintenance work (company-provided specialty tools and equipment will be available as needed)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
