SITE SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY:
The site supervisor has responsibility for the supervision of the office cleaners for buildings and facilities. Employees in this job classification will report to an area manager or operations manager. This person will direct the daily activities of all housekeeping personnel assigned to a particular location, or "zone."
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Designate area work assignments for office cleaners.
2. Frequently evaluate the performance of all custodial personnel assigned under their jurisdiction.
3. Conduct frequent inspections of all assigned areas to ensure that all work is being carried out in a proper and orderly manner.
4. Develop and maintain a current training program for all zone custodial personnel.
5. Conduct training for all custodial personnel.
6. Establish and maintain inter-departmental relations with personnel, maintenance, and purchasing.
7. Evaluate and assist in the selection of new cleaning products, materials, and equipment.
8. Assign relief custodians to fill in for absentee workers, performing the work personally as needed.
9. Maintain all pertinent records, reports, and other paperwork as needed.
10. Develop and maintain a projects list for the project and relief crew.
11. Perform other related work as required and instructed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of all cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
· Ability to instruct office cleaners in the performance of manual tasks requiring moderate strength.
· Knowledge of the operation of all mechanical cleaning equipment.
· Ability to schedule repairs for all above equipment.
· Ability to prepare written reports and other correspondence relating to the job as necessary.
· Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with subordinates, as well as with other supervisors and management personnel.
