What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Cleaning (Hershey/Palmyra) position at OMEX?
DESCRIPTION:
-Part-time Evenings
-Monday through Friday
Duties require moderate physical strength and stamina. Work includes dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment in a "clean room" environment.
REGULAR RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and recycle receptacles.
-Police public areas.
-Dust mop, sweep, wet mop, spray-buff floors.
-Vacuum rugs and carpets.
-Scrub and clean restroom fixtures and keep restroom supplied with towels, toilet tissue, soap, and other items.
-Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, woodwork, and other above-floor surfaces.
-Dust, clean, and polish furniture.
-Clean elevators and stairwells.
-Notify supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement.
-Perform related work as required and instructed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
-Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment helpful.
-Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.
-Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment.
-Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions in the performance of the job.
-Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisor and fellow workers.
