Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role located in Washington, DC, for an experienced Accountant. The Accountant will handle a wide range of financial activities, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and preparing reports. The role will also involve supporting audits, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, as well as experience with invoice management and payment processing.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills to handle deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience in travel, hospitality, or related industries is a plus but not required.
