WAREHOUSE WORKER- ENTRY POSITION

Summary:
Picture frame moulding company is looking for a competent induvial to properly process daily orders placed in warehouse. Excellent communication skills are a must. Distribution Center is based out of Bellport, NY.
Description:
The Warehouse Worker reports to the Warehouse Manager and has primary responsibility for Picking, Packing, and Shipping finished goods.
- Follows, without exception, all work instructions and safety rules including use of all PPE and safety equipment.
- Able to demonstrate fork lift proficiency (pending formal in-house training).
- Be able to use and monitor computer tablets for daily order picking.
- Basic math skill for daily Inventory Cycle Counting.
- Accurately picking and packing stock for daily shipments.
- Responsible for quality control of goods being picked for customers’ orders.
- Properly labeling customers’ packages with Packing Slips and Shipping Labels
- Loading and unloading transfer containers.
- Focuses on accuracy, and attention to the details of the job.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Strong math, reading, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must display fundamental computer literacy.
- Routinely operates equipment properly after in-house training.
- Demonstrates a willingness to assist co-workers in areas outside of their direct responsibility
- Ability to stand, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts
- Ability to consistently lift and carry up to 85 lbs.
- Must communicate effectively with Warehouse Managers as well as co-workers.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
