Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant

Location: Vancouver, WA (on site)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $24-$26 an hour

Omega Industries has an opening for an accounts payable accountant at its Vancouver, WA location. It is a fast paced, mid-high volume role, with a growing company. As we develop our ERP system and explore areas to automate, this position will provide the opportunity to shape processes and gain business systems experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

·        Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness

·        Match PO and receiving documents to vendor invoices, resolving discrepancies

·        Reconcile vendor statements and maintain vendor files

·        Prepare and process vendor payments and remittance statements

·        Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status

·        Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal teams

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records

·        Provide support to other accounting functions, assist with month-end close

·        Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and implement best practices.

Requirements:

·        Prior experience in Accounts Payable

·        Strong proficiency in MS Excel and business systems

·        High attention to detail

·        Organized with strong time-management skills

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

·        Self-initiative, desire to learn and take on new challenges
