Industrial Mechanical Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic systems, HVAC/R units, and mechanical assemblies.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes swiftly.
• Repair or replace mechanical components such as belts, gears, pumps, valves, and piping using welding (including welding) and other fabrication techniques.
• Operate precision measuring instruments like ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting involving low voltage and high voltage systems with industrial electrician experience.
• Utilize field service skills to perform repairs on-site at various locations within the manufacturing facility or customer sites.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and upgrades following schematics and technical specifications.
• Support customer service initiatives by providing technical assistance during field service calls or customer visits.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC/R, and welding procedures.
• Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas during maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and optimize equipment uptime.

Requirements

• Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical troubleshooting involving low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record-keeping.
• Skilled in welding techniques including welding; certification is preferred.
• Experience operating precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems combined with analysis skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Ability to operate scissor lifts safely in accordance with safety protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or supporting field service operations.
• Strong communication skills in English for documentation and team collaboration.
