I'm Hiring for a very special role of Director, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI)
Location: Remote (US-based, with global team oversight in US, India & Philippines)
We are seeking a strategic leader to build and drive our inpatient/acute care Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) program globally.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute global CDI strategy aligned with company growth objectives, defining scope, target markets, and competitive edge.
Lead recruitment, training, and management of a high-performing CDI team across US, India, and Philippines.
Establish best-practice workflows for inpatient DRG reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement quality assurance programs.
Partner with technology teams to deploy CDI tools that improve efficiency.
Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for clients; build strong stakeholder relationships and customize performance metrics.
Manage division budget, monitor KPIs, analyze performance, and adapt strategies to industry and reimbursement changes.
Maintain full compliance with company policies, including HIPAA.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Active CDI certification (CDIP, CCDS, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS) strongly preferred
7–10 years progressive CDI experience in acute care, with 4 years in leadership
Proven success leading multi-site or global teams (offshore experience highly desirable)
Deep knowledge of DRG methodology, ICD-10 guidelines, MS-DRG reimbursement, and query processes
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Office and ability to engage effectively with physicians and hospital leadership
