Position Summary:
We are searching for an experienced installer, highly organized, self motivated, to lead the installation of fire alarm systems and other low voltage systems. This role is a crucial part of our mission to provide top-quality systems that protect lives and properties.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan installations.
- Installing control panels, detectors, sensors, wiring, and peripheral devices in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborating with team members and project managers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Conducting system tests, inspections, and verify proper functionality and compliance.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years minimum experience in fire alarm system installation or a related field.
- Active NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Journeyman Electrician License, or Master Electrician License.
Skills:
- Proficiency in interpreting drawings, submittals, technical diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA & IBC codes, regulations, and other local standards.
- Skilled in working with various tools, equipment, and materials required for installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Very good command of English language required.
- Ability to pass both a background check and drug screening.
- While performing duties, the employee must be able to lift 50lbs, walk, stand, climb stairs, balance, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, use hands to touch, finger, operate and handle tablets, phones, computers, and basic office tools with intermittent light to moderate physical activity. The position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to focus, peripheral vision, and the ability to make discriminations in sound.
