Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Monitor vital signs as necessary before, during, and after procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Assist with pediatric patients, providing comfort and support during their visits.
- Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments as required.
- Handle medical coding for insurance purposes accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting is essential.
- Familiarity with prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software is preferred.
- Ability to take and process X-rays safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus.
