Responsibilities
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of hot and cold dishes.
- Verify that orders are accurately prepared according to guest specifications before serving.
- Manage the flow of food from the kitchen to dining areas, maintaining optimal presentation standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen personnel regarding order status, special requests, or modifications.
- Assist with food handling, plating, garnishing, and quality control to uphold safety and presentation standards.
- Support servers by expediting multiple tables during busy service periods, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station in compliance with food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; banquet or hotel experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate efficiently with kitchen staff and servers.
- Previous experience with culinary tasks such as plating or garnishing is advantageous.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene practices.
