Position Overview:

Our firm is seeking a strategic and results-driven Human Resources Manager with a bachelor’s degree/preferably an MBA in HR, business administration, or related field combined with 5 years of relevant experience to lead and enhance our HR operations. This role will oversee recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management while supporting the firm’s continued growth.

 Key Duties:

  • Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, helps with interviews, hires, and works collaboratively to onboard new staff. 
  • Provides a framework for constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Administers, oversees, or collaborates on the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters. disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

Core HR Manager Responsibilities:

  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and proactively mitigate risk across all HR functions.  
  • Recruitment: Overseeing the hiring process, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Resolving disputes, managing performance, and fostering a positive company culture.
  • Compensation: Administering payroll, benefits, and compensation structures.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written skills for negotiating and conflict resolution.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ethical Practice: Deep understanding of, and commitment to, confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Time Management: Capability to manage multiple tasks, such as hiring, employee issues, and administrative tasks simultaneously. 

Educational Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree: Preferred particularly in HR Management, Organizational Leadership, or an MBA.
  • Relevant Coursework: Employment law, organizational behavior, compensation/benefits, and conflict management. 
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP: Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional or Senior Certified Professional.
  • PHR/SPHR: Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (HRCI). 

Professional Experience

  • Experience Level: 5 – 8 or more years of experience in HR
  • Key Competencies: Demonstrated ability in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems.
