Minimum of 20-40 hours per week

Summary:

The Omakase World Market Server is responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience

in a modern, fast-casual environment. Please note: This is not a traditional sit-down server

position.

Instead of taking orders at tables, our guests utilize an efficient kiosk ordering system. Your role

focuses on high-touch counter hospitality: welcoming guests, assisting with the kiosk

technology, running food, and maintaining an immaculate dining environment. Additionally,

this role offers unique variety, as servers will also work and staff our catering events. Because

this position spans both daily market operations and special events, compensation includes

base pay, pooled tips, and a share of catering service charges.

Responsibilities:

● Welcome guests warmly and assist them with navigating our kiosk ordering system.

● Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, with the ability to answer questions and make

suggestions.

● Run food and drinks to tables or event spaces promptly, ensuring accurate and beautiful

presentation.

● Engage with guests in the dining area in a friendly manner, checking back to ensure they are

enjoying their experience and taking proactive action to correct any problems.

● Assist with the setup, service, and breakdown of on-site and off-site catering events.

● Complete side works, restock stations, and execute other projects assigned by management.

● Support the market team and assist wherever needed, adapting quickly to changing daily

demands.

Requirements:

● Teamwork - help others when needed and collaborate seamlessly across market and catering

settings.

● Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

● Tech-Savvy - comfortable navigating digital point-of-sale and kiosk systems, with the ability to

assist guests utilizing them.

● Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.

● Adaptability - excitement for a varied workday that flips between counter service and special

events.

● Practices Safety Procedures.

● Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.

● Ability to follow instructions.

● Food Handlers license or being able to get one within 30 days of employment (Valid

California ServSafe Food Handler Card).

The server employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and be able to work in

a sitting position for long periods of time.
