Summary:
Assist in the safe and efficient operation of the Material Handling equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the safe and efficient operation of the Material Handling group.
- Operate various equipment as assigned.
- Perform tasks related to the use and handling of hazardous material.
- Assist with housekeeping of work area as required.
- Participate in scheduled training.
- Promote accident prevention and safety standards by ensuring and maintaining proper operating standards and housekeeping in the material handling areas.
- Participate as a member of the station¿s emergency response team including fire brigade (Nebraska City Station)
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Requires a moderate to high degree of mechanical ability, the desire and ability to learn
- Must have good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver¿s license.
- Experience in the operation of heavy equipment is desired.
- Experience in or knowledge of generating station operations is desirable.
