What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director NERC Compliance position at Omaha Public Power District?
Responsibilities
If you have led NERC compliance at a utility, you understand how critical this role is and how rare the right opportunity can be.
At OPPD, this is not a maintenance role. It is an opportunity to own and shape enterprise-wide reliability compliance strategy, influence executive decision-making, and lead a high-performing team with a strong foundation already in place.
You will step into a position with visibility across the organization, direct interaction with regulators, and the ability to strengthen and evolve compliance programs that impact the entire business.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to lead, influence, and elevate compliance, not just manage it.
What You Will Own
This is a highly specialized role in a limited talent market. We are focused on identifying individuals who bring deep expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to operate at a strategic level within a utility environment.
This role is critical to OPPD's reliability and regulatory success and will play a key role in shaping future compliance strategy.
