Summary:
Assist with the installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical equipment associated with the generating stations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of generators, motors, transformers, electronic equipment, switchgear, electrostatic precipitators, magnetic drives, control wiring, electrical instruments, communications equipment, etc.
- Responsible for proper care of tools and economical use of supplies and keeping work area clean.
- Perform task related to the use and handling of hazardous material.
- Learn and maintain electronic equipment such as Allen Bradley PLC¿s, electronic overloads, uninterruptible power supplies, variable frequency drives, essential service systems, programmable microprocessors and fire detection systems.
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Requires a high degree of electrical, electronic, and mechanical ability.
- Experience or training in electrical maintenance in power station or related industry work.
- Must have good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver¿s license.
- Must be available for overtime work as required.
- May be required to report to any job headquarters within the District.
- Must take callouts.
- Ability to work from electrical drawings, troubleshoot electrical issues, and install conduit is desirable.
- College degree in an applicable field (Electrical or Electromechanical), completion of a related industrial apprenticeship/training (Electrical or Electromechanical) program or equivalent work experience in industrial Electrical or Electromechanical maintenance preferred.
