This position is for an RN or an LPN that works in both of our Omaha locations: West Omaha and Dundee area. Hours are: 8:30-5:30pm M-F (Must be flexible to travel between two offices.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

RN or LPN treats patients with respect and sensitivity and exhibits behavior which projects a caring and compassionate attitude.

RN or LPN will triage patients and administers appropriate treatment and notifies of results under the direction of a Provider. May operate equipment for diagnostic tests or give injections.

RN or LPN prepares and cleans the examination room for each patient’s visit; ensures adequate supplies and appropriate instruments are available. Sterilize and prepare medical instruments and equipment daily.

RN or LPN greets and rooms patients, takes blood pressure, height, weight and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient. Documents patient history and medication and records this and any other pertinent information in the chart.

RN or LPN phones pharmacies, faxes or e-prescribes new prescriptions and prescription refills and documents this information in the patient’s chart.

RN or LPN instructs patients on pertinent information essential to their care and treatment. Reviews handout material and medical instructions with patient.

RN or LPN handles all pre-certifications of all procedures if needed.

RN or LPN assists with the scheduling of appointments, tests, and procedures as needed.

RN or LPN complies with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance policies while performing all duties.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), or a diploma as a Registered Nurse (RN), or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Nebraska

Must have a BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate.

Must have one to two years’ experience in OB-GYN or Family Practice that practices OB-GYN .

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

This position requires strong people skills, verbal communication, and the ability to make immediate decisions based on sound nursing theory. Must be professional, flexible, caring, and compassionate and exhibit a congenial and sensitive attitude toward patients. Must pay attention to detail. Must have problem solving skills, foresight and anticipation.

APTITUDES AND TEMPERAMENTS REQUIRED

Must have a high level of energy with the ability to adjust to any justifiable pace. Make decisions based more on fact than feeling. Exhibit behavior which emphasizes compassion, quality, loyalty and conscientiousness. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, their families and staff members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
