Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. This role involves working with children in preschool and toddler settings, assisting with educational activities, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of students.
• Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior and addressing any behavioral challenges effectively.
• Provide individualized attention to students, including those with special education needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their success.
• Facilitate small group tutoring sessions focused on subjects such as math and standardized testing preparation.
• Engage in Montessori-style teaching methods to encourage independent learning among students.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.

Requirements

• Experience or coursework in early childhood education, special education, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
• Familiarity with Montessori principles is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A genuine love for working with children, particularly in preschool or toddler care settings.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs and learning styles.

Pay: $10.87 - $11.48 per hour
