Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to handle retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, offering product demos, and guiding them through their purchase decisions.
• Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring all cash handling procedures are followed diligently.
• Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store sales.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and participate in merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store appearance.
• Conduct retail store product knowledge sharing and product demos to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or in person, ensuring clear communication at all times.
• Support supervising staff by helping oversee daily operations, including supervising team members during shifts when needed.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in stock counts.
• Engage customers in friendly conversations, answer questions about store products, and promote ongoing sales or promotions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and answer customer questions.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Experience with cashiering, retail math, cash drawer handling, and cash handling procedures is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with professionalism and patience.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies.
• Supervising experience is advantageous for supporting team leadership efforts.
• Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
• Prior grocery store experience is beneficial for understanding fast-paced retail environments.
