Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, product inquiries, and store navigation
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions, handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting and well-organized
- Manage inventory by assisting with stock replenishment and conducting regular stock checks
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Requirements
- Must be 18 yrs old
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both bilingual (if applicable) and single-language environments
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth checkout processes
- Experience in grocery store environments or retail stores is a plus
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team
