π Position Overview
Are you a hands-on Engineer who loves taking ownership of a product from the first sketch to the final production line? We are looking for a highly motivated Design Engineer / Project Manager to join our entrepreneurial satellite office in Phoenix.
You will partner locally with our Sales team while remaining fully integrated with our larger engineering headquarters in Minnesota. This is a high-impact role requiring SolidWorks expertise and the ability to drive large-scale mechanical projects forward.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities
πΉ Advanced Design: Develop complex, large assemblies in SolidWorks for new and existing product lines.
πΉ Project Leadership: Lead engineering projects from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and production.
πΉ Strategic Collaboration: Partner with local sales professionals to align designs with market needs and customer feedback.
πΉ Remote Integration: Sync with our HQ engineering team to maintain design standards, PDM control, and best practices.
πΉ Manufacturing & Sourcing: Create detailed 3D models and documentation suitable for global manufacturing and sourcing.
πΉ Innovation: Identify opportunities for process efficiency, cost reduction, and radical product improvement.
π― Required Qualifications
π Education: Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
βοΈ Design Skills: 2β5 years of experience in mechanical design; Strong proficiency in SolidWorks is a must.
π Data Management: Proven experience with SolidWorks PDM for file control and revisions.
ποΈ Assembly Expertise: Hands-on experience working with large assemblies and complex mechanical systems.
π Manufacturing IQ: Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (Plastics, Metal, and/or Rubber).
πͺ Soft Skills: Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in an agile office.
ποΈ Bonus: A passion for Powersports (Snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs) is a huge plus!
