Payroll Lead

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist with prior payroll experience. The job requires responsibility for managing the payroll process and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This is an IN PERSON position.SkillsEnter and upload time from our time-management software to our accounting softwarePayroll job costing accuracyPrepare payroll and distribute checksPay and reconcile payroll liabilities and submit reports (401K, Health, Dental, etc)Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll processing.Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.Ability to work collaboratively with Human Resources and other departments.Proficient in using payroll softwareStrong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.Understanding of and ability to prepare certified payroll and ensure compliance with prevailing wage and Davis Bacon lawsSpanish fluency highly desiredRESPONSIBILITIESProcess payroll for all employees accurately and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulationsPerform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of payroll data and resolve discrepanciesCollaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee records and updatesKeep all payroll deadlinesSupport audits by providing necessary documentation and information related to payroll activitiesStay updated on changes in payroll regulation and best practices to ensure compliancesAssist A/R with invoicing in between payrollsSpanish highly desiredWe are a family-run concrete manufacturing plant.
