Olympic Construction is a family-owned, hands-on commercial construction company based in Nicholasville, KY. We self-perform masonry, ICF, concrete, and related trades on commercial projects, and ownership is active in the day-to-day work. We're looking for a reliable Dump Truck Driver to keep material moving to and from our jobsites so crews are never waiting on a load.
Position Summary
The Dump Truck Driver hauls aggregate, dirt, block, sand, and other materials between suppliers, yards, and active jobsites. This role keeps crews supplied and productive, and requires someone who takes pride in safe driving, a well-maintained truck, and getting the load where it needs to be, on time.
What You'll Do
- Haul aggregate, dirt, sand, block, and other materials between suppliers, yards, and jobsites
- Load and unload materials safely, including operating the dump bed and tailgate
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Keep accurate logs of loads, mileage, and hours as required
- Coordinate timing with Superintendents and Foremen so materials arrive when crews need them
- Maintain the truck — routine checks, fluids, tire condition — and flag maintenance needs early
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies on the road and at the jobsite
- Help around the yard or jobsite with general labor when not actively hauling
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL (Class A or B, per fleet requirements) with a clean driving record
- Experience driving a dump truck, preferably in construction or heavy hauling
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
- Comfortable backing, maneuvering, and dumping in tight jobsite conditions
- Reliable and punctual — crews depend on materials showing up on schedule
- A safety-first mindset, on the road and around the jobsite
- Comfortable in a hands-on, family-run company
Nice to Have
- Experience hauling for masonry, ICF, or concrete self-perform work
- Familiarity with local quarries, batch plants, and supply yards in the area
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine truck upkeep
- Experience operating other equipment (skid steer, loader, etc.)
