Job Summary
Olympia Insurance Services is seeking a technical, high-performing Commercial Insurance Agent to manage and grow a diverse book of business. We are looking for a professional who understands that commercial insurance is about more than just a policy—it’s about protecting a client’s livelihood through precision and expertise.
If you have at least 4 years of experience and a deep "under the hood" understanding of General Liability, Property, E&O, Workers’ Comp, and Excess Liability, we want to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Full-Cycle Placement: Market and place complex commercial risks including GL, Property, Professional Liability (E&O), Workers’ Compensation, and Excess/Umbrella layers.
- Technical Documentation: Expertly prepare and process ACORD forms (125, 126, 130, 131, 140) to ensure high-quality, "submission-ready" files for underwriters.
- Risk Consulting: Analyze NCCI class codes for Workers' Comp, evaluate Experience Mods (X-Mods), and determine appropriate attachment points for Excess Liability.
- Carrier Negotiation: Leverage your relationships with standard and non-standard carriers to secure competitive terms and comprehensive coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in Commercial Lines Insurance (Required).
- License: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License (Required).
- Technical Mastery: Proven knowledge of:
- Workers’ Comp: Payroll audits, class codes, and E-Mods.
- Professional Liability: Claims-made vs. Occurrence triggers.
- Excess Liability: Following-form nuances and underlying limit requirements.
- Form Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of the ACORD application suite.
