SUMMARY:

Coordinates systematic completion of the daily production schedule. Performs manual labor along a production line. Inspects and stages raw materials used in filter assembly. Performs machine adjustments as needed.

The Trainer is responsible for delivering consistent, effective, and high-quality training to new employees and cross-training employees within the production environment. This role conducts hands-on instruction using established training checklists, work instructions, and training protocols. The Trainer ensures all trainees understand and demonstrate required competencies and submits all required documentation-including Training Acknowledgement Forms and Evaluations-upon completion of training. In addition to training responsibilities, the Trainer serves as the coordinator for assigned training lines and collaborates with other trainers to ensure alignment, coverage, and consistency across all training activities. This role supports continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on training materials, identifying skill or process gaps, and partnering with the Training and Process Improvement Supervisor to enhance the training program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates the production schedule with delivery of raw materials and machine set-ups.
  • Coordinates documentation and materials for changeovers.
  • Performs machine adjustments as needed.
  • Responsible for in-line quality control. Identify and report any non-confirming materials or product.
  • Responsible for line clearance.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures.
  • Communication with Operators, Supervisors, and Production Support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Complete daily production reports and process documentation as necessary.
  • Perform back-up of others as required.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
  • Order raw materials and supplies.
  • Promote teamwork and build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct hands-on training for new hires and cross-training employees following established training checklists, work instructions, and company procedures.
  • Serve as the coordinator for assigned training lines, ensuring line organization, training flow, and readiness of materials and work areas.
  • Collaborate with other trainers to maintain consistency in training delivery, communicate trainee progress, and coordinate line coverage.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through observation, skills assessments, and knowledge checks.
  • Complete and submit Training Acknowledgement Forms, Training Evaluations, and any other required documentation accurately and on time to the Training Supervisor.
  • Provide feedback on trainee readiness before transitioning employees to independent work or subsequent training stages.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating training materials, visual aids, and line-specific work instructions as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Communicate trainee progress, concerns, or skill gaps promptly to the Training and Process Improvement Supervisor.
  • Support continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities for improved training methods, workflow efficiencies, or safety practices.
  • Ensure all training line equipment and materials are maintained in safe and operational condition.
  • Uphold the integrity of training processes by ensuring trainees adhere to safety protocols, quality standards, and production procedures.
  • Provide retraining or refresher training when necessary.
  • Model professional behavior and act as a resource for trainees and peers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Basic reading and writing in English, and basic arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery and computers as required.
  • Self-starter able to function effectively in a fast-paced growing company and adapt to change.
  • Ability to read and interpret sketches, drawings, specifications, and work orders.
  • A strong sense of urgency and impeccable follow through.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
  • Able to read a tape measure.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
  • Able to perform all duties and responsibilities listed safely and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to report every workday, on time and for the entire shift.
  • Must have positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to instruct, mentor, and motivate trainees.
  • Ability to break down complex tasks into clear, teachable steps.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation accuracy.
  • Confidence in delivering hands-on training in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other trainers and leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize training or process gaps.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude, patience, and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain organization of training lines and training materials.
  • Must have positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. The warehouse area is not climate controlled and can get hot during summer and cold during winter months. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, back support belt and gloves. Must be able to hear, speak, reach, bend, twist, squat, push and pull. Must be able to perform tasks in a standing position for extended periods of time.

This will be a day shift position, Mon-Fri, 5am to 1:30pm with a pay range from $17 to $18 an hour

Pay Details: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour
