Tax Manager - Nashville, Tennessee
A growing top 200 public accounting firm seeks a Tax Manager to help lead and grow the tax practice in Nashville. This is a new position that has been created by growth.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications
- CPA
- At least five years of tax experience in public accounting
- Significant experience with federal taxation for partnerships and/or high net worth individuals
- Has risen to the level of Tax Manager, or to the level just below
- A demonstrated history of client satisfaction and strong relationship building skills
- Experience leading / supervising others
- Fosters a collegial culture / atmosphere
Details
The primary focus is on federal taxation – mainly partnerships and high net worth individuals. The Firm is young and energetic and is committed to continuously growing the tax practice. Essential duties include:
- Lead and manage multiple federal income tax engagements including compliance and consulting services, bringing in other experts as needed (SALT, international, etc.)
- Identify and deliver high-value tax planning strategies for clients
- Manage and expand client relationships by providing timely and competent communication and value-added services
- Participate in recruiting both entry level staff and experienced professionals
- Develop and energize the tax staff and provide them with leadership, counseling and career guidance
- Recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the tax staff
- Represent the Firm at selected industry and community events
