Our Field Managers adhere to high standards and serve a critical role as part of our 5-person team and is integral in the execution and product we deliver to our clients. Typical duties performed include:
Job Requirements and Duties:
· Manage all phases of on-site construction and maintain schedule - daily
· Set foundation grades, pass inspections, and secure Certificate of Occupancy
· Troubleshoot problems and redline plans
· Update status and schedule reports daily and weekly
· Manage house budgets with focus on profitability
· Manage material deliveries, supplies, and returns
· Maintain a safe and clean jobsite – daily
· Enforce all company processes and procedures
· Attend and/or lead Team and client meetings
· Be the client advocate
· Communicate and manage relationships with Trade Partners, engineers, suppliers, and building officials.
· Communicate daily with Team, Trade Partners and Client utilizing communication tools and software programs
· Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times while representing company
· Strong communication skills -both verbal & written
· Great listening skills & creative problem solving with the ability to see it, own it, solve it, do it
· Review and interpret construction plans
· Understand all elements of homebuilding and how to QA all trades
· Strong attention to detail to follow plans, selections, and contracts
· Quality-control maintenance and compliance
· Interpret scopes of work for construction trades
· Work complete approvals and coordination for trade partners
· Submission of customer requested change orders to other team managers
Education/Preferred Experience:
· Experience with a variety of software
· Experience calculating if walls are square
· Experience figuring wall height and foundation settings
· Some warranty management
· High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience, college degree preferred
· 5-7 years of Residential construction experience
· Full working knowledge of civil, architectural, and structural plans
· Have delivered “Zero Defect Home” to clients
· Have carried a WIP of 12 homes
· Ability to work in a small Team ownership environment in rural and tertiary markets
· Show evidence of a client-centric attitude with focus on buyer experience
· SWPPP certified (preferred)
· OSHA 10 hour certified (preferred)
· Construction software experience
· Building industry experience and code knowledge
· Project Management experience
· Strong analytical and organizational skills
Compensation:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
*Company Vehicle (Valid driver’s license with good record required)
