Job Summary
The Supply Planner is responsible for creating, modifying and managing attainable and effective supply plans and manufacturing schedules, ensuring customer service levels and plant efficiency goals are met. This involves analyzing demand forecasts, managing inventory levels, coordinating production schedules, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.

The Supply Planner is responsible for creating, modifying and managing attainable and effective supply plans and manufacturing schedules, ensuring customer service levels and plant efficiency goals are met. This involves analyzing demand forecasts, managing inventory levels, coordinating production schedules, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities (not Restrictive)
- Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, sales data, and internal and market trends to create both short- and long-term production schedules.
- Executes ERP and the timely creation of shop orders to satisfy customer demand, achieve desired levels and maintain flow of work on the factory floor.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to prevent both stockouts and excess inventory; partner with procurement and warehousing as needed.
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor and prioritize work orders and maintain production schedules; quickly adjusting plans as needed to meet business needs.
- Performs planning functions required to achieve the timely and successful launch of new products and participates as assigned on new product development teams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as forecast accuracy, vendor performance, production variances and contributing causes, etc; prepare and communicate related reports.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
- Informs management of potential production problems and assist in the implementation of both short- and long-term solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply planning/production scheduling, including experience in food manufacturing
- Experience in demand planning preferred
- Experience in the food industry or CPG in general preferred
- APICS/CPIM certification preferred
- Deep understanding of S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) strategies and processes, and the role it plays driving operational excellence
- Strong analytical, data modeling, and mathematical abilities to effectively forecast and plan
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to conceptualize, define and resolve complex problems
- Skilled at effective collaboration with internal and external partners
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other scheduling or statistical analysis software
- Experience using analytical spreadsheet tools as well as other MS Office applications.
- Clear communicator with ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels.

Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
