McGraw School of Business at Olivet Nazarene University seeks a full-time faculty member to support a growing degree in the School of Business beginning January 2026 or August 2026. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits are competitive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach core accounting concentration courses.
- University service, including advising and mentoring students, supervising professional certifications, advising students organizations such as VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program), meeting with prospective students, and serving on university committees.
- Support of the program’s continuous quality improvements, assessment, and professional certification activities.
- Scholarly research, accounting education initiatives, consulting, grant writing, mission projects, and presenting at technical conferences are encouraged.
- The ideal candidate may also contribute to QuickBooks certification initiatives in the program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- A lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant.
- A passion for teaching and support of Olivet’s mission are essential.
- Professional practice and/or industry experience are highly desirable.
- Should be able to articulate the integration of the Christian faith and accounting practice.
Additional Information
EDUCATION
A master’s degree in business, accounting or finance is required. CPA licensure and/or an earned PhD in accounting or business-related field.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The School of Business is located on the main floor of the Weber Center, on the main campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
Olivet offers the Bachelor of Science in Accounting with concentrations in public, corporate, government, and general accounting.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
The starting annual salary for this position is $43,146 - $85,070, and is based on experience and education level.
