📌 About the Role:
As a Credit & Collections Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and cash applications — helping keep our business running smoothly. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to resolve billing issues, analyze credit risk, and maintain strong customer relationships.
💼 What You’ll Do:
- Manage AR aging and proactively collect outstanding balances
- Update and maintain accurate customer contact and billing information
- Record collection activities in accordance with team processes
- Partner with Sales and Ops teams to resolve invoice and shipment issues
- Analyze creditworthiness and assign credit limits or recommend changes
- Perform custom billing, account reconciliations, and audit support
- Provide first-level support for credit and AR inquiries
- Support daily deposit entry and reporting when needed
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Meet and exceed collection goals and team KPIs
🎯 What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5 years of B2B collections experience with a track record of reducing overdue balances
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- ERP experience (SAP a plus)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and action-driven
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
