Can You…
- Diagnose both electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery quickly and safely?
- Read and act on schematics, maintenance procedures, and safety standards with confidence?
- Run trial operations to verify quality and performance before handing equipment back to production?
- Balance planned preventive maintenance with fast, effective repairs when priorities shift?
What You Will Do
- Install, construct, test, and maintain electrical systems and components across presses and supporting equipment.
- Conduct trial runs to validate equipment performance and quality output.
- Oversee safe operation of shop equipment and escalate issues proactively.
- Repair and replace production assemblies and sub-assemblies, including on web and sheetfed presses.
- Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical faults and return machinery to service efficiently.
- Interpret schematics and technical documentation to plan and execute repairs.
- Track spares and consumables; prepare purchase orders to maintain needed inventory.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electromechanical systems—hydraulics and pneumatics included.
- Assist Facilities with general projects such as basic carpentry and site maintenance.
What You Bring
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical/machining systems with strong troubleshooting skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical training (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or similar technical roles.
- Ability to interpret safety rules, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Effective communication with teammates, vendors, and in small group settings.
- Math fluency with arithmetic, fractions, and decimals.
- Adaptable problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for full shifts and perform some lifting and pulling.
