Client: E&S Carrier Company
Responsibilities:
Underwrite new and renewal E&S business, including complex and higher-severity risks.
Manage and grow a profitable book of business.
Build strong relationships with key wholesale brokers and agency partners.
Provide underwriting guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior team members.
Partner with internal teams on product development, market trends, and process improvements.
Support agency visits, industry events, and other business development initiatives.
Requirements:
5 years of Senior Underwriting experience within E&S / Excess & Surplus Lines.
Strong technical underwriting and risk selection experience.
Proven ability to manage a profitable book and develop broker relationships.
Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other underwriters.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; insurance designations are a plus
