Senior Accountant - Insurance

Our client, a well-established leader in the insurance sector, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team. Role & Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial reports and statements.
• Lead new project initiatives that will help scale the overall accounting team.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) specific to the insurance sector.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and other regulatory filings.
• Assist in the monthly and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Work closely with internal teams to analyze financial data and report on financial performance.
• Support financial audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure all queries are handled efficiently.
  
  

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience in statutory reporting and finance operations within the insurance industry.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Accounting Degree
• CPA
