Senior Claims Examiner – General Liability

FULLY REMOTE from NY, NJ, CT or MA

$110,000- $120,000 base 10% bonus benefits

A regional insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Examiner to join their General Liability team. This is a technical role handling mid to complex Commercial General Liability claims across premise liability, slip & falls, product liability and auto liability, along with other casualty areas.

• Handle complex CGL claims including premises liability, slip & falls and other bodily injury cases
• Handle coverage matters including writing own coverage letters and coverage decisions
• Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution
• Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices
  
  

Qualifications

• 4 years of Commercial General Liability claims experience (premise/product/slip & falls etc.).
• Experience with other liability claims such as construction BI, auto BI and other complex casualty areas
• Strong exposure to coverage investigation and litigated files
• Background with a reputable carrier or law firm
• Adjuster License in multiple North East states essential
