Commercial Auto Adjuster

As a Commercial Auto Adjuster, you will manage a caseload of diverse claims, including transportation, trucking, and general liability exposures. You will take ownership of the entire claims lifecycle- investigating, analyzing coverage, evaluating liability and damages, and negotiating resolutions. Technical experience is required and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

In This Role, You Will

• Handle a caseload of moderate to severe commercial auto claims, with additional exposure to GL and PL lines.
• Conduct thorough investigations, including reviewing coverage, liability, damages, police reports, and medical records.
• Interview insureds, agents, witnesses, and medical professionals to compile facts and make well-supported recommendations.
• Negotiate settlements effectively and recommend litigation where necessary, ensuring files are handled strategically and efficiently.
• Collaborate with defense counsel, claims leadership, and internal team members to manage litigated files and develop resolution strategies.
• Maintain accurate reserves and provide timely updates and reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable insurance regulations and company guidelines.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture by assisting with training, sharing expertise, and supporting colleagues as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of claims handling experience, preferably with a focus on commercial auto, GL, or PL.
• Strong investigation and negotiation skills with the ability to independently manage claims cradle-to-grave.
• Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking abilities.
• Property & Casualty Adjuster License preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
