Claims Director – Commercial General Liability

An E&S Carrier is looking to hire a Claims Director who will oversee the Casualty Department. Reporting directly into the AVP of Claims, you will have 4 Senior Managers and their teams reporting into you, 30-40 FTE. Your remit will include the Commercial General Liability team that handles a mixed bag, such as, Construction Defect, NYLL, Habitational, Premise Liability, Property Damage, Complex Injury, and Product Liability so they are looking for someone with a strong CGL background.

• Need 10 years of Commercial General Liability claims handling experience    
• Mix bag CGL: Construction Defect, NYLL, Habitational, Premise Liability, Property Damage, Complex Injury, etc
• 5 years of management experience – ideally will have managed managers
• Experience writing coverage letters
• Experience with contracts, tenders, risk transfers, and litigation
• Liability investigation experience
  

This is a hybrid model of 3 days on-site / 2 days home out of one of their office locations: Arizona, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Connecticut, or Georgia

Salary: up to 170k base discretionary bonus excellent benefits
