Title: Environmental Leader - Air
Location: Lake Jackson, TX

Salary: $135,600 - $198,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 1-2 days remote per week; or 9/80, 5/8s
Relocation Available

Focus: The Environmental Leader - Air is responsible for managing and coordinating applicable environmental air programs in accordance with Corporate and Division policies and procedures to meet Company's business requirements.

The Freeport site is the single largest chlor alkali complex in the world with more than 1,000 employees. The chemical products produced at our Freeport location include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, aromatics, bleach, hydrogen, and hydrochloric acid.


Environmental Leader - Air Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Environmental Specialists focused on air compliance, with additional oversight of water and waste programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and site goals.
  • Coach and assess team performance, fostering skill development and professional growth to maximize individual and collective contributions.
  • Advise site leadership on air-related regulations and drive strategic actions to maintain full compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Design and implement site-specific environmental strategies and action plans that align with corporate policies and long-term business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, incident investigations, and technical reviews, leveraging tools like the Texas Audit Privilege Act to enhance compliance and operational excellence.


Environmental Leader - Air Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in technical or management discipline; Master's Degree* preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant environmental experience in manufacturing, chemical, or related industry
  • Prior supervisory experience
    • Proven ability to lead and develop a team across departments
    • Strong people management and organizational influence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Adaptable and collaborative, with strong prioritization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic environment
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
