We are looking to hire a Sander for our Rails Department. A Sander smooths surfaces of items for finishing, primarily using sanding tools. Responsibilities include removing imperfections, preparing surfaces for painting or staining, and maintaining equipment. Attention to detail is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate sanders to smooth surfaces of wood objects
- Select appropriate sandpaper or abrasive belts for each job
- Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Monitor sanding process to ensure quality and efficiency
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area
- Follow safety procedures to avoid accidents and injuries
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure production goals are met
- Repairs cracks and other damages on game tables
- Record production data and complete necessary paperwork
- Any other tasks requested by management
Requirements:
- Ability to operate sanding machines and tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of different types of sandpaper and their appropriate uses
Schedule:
Monday through Friday - 6:30am - 3:15pm
Olhausen conducts a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
