We are looking for a Blending Operator for our Conroe, Texas plant.
Some of your main duties & responsibilities:
- Operate blending equipment according to production instructions, ensuring proper mixing of raw materials to create chemical products.
- Accurately measure, load, and mix chemicals and raw materials according to specific formulations and production requirements.
- Safely handle and work with chemicals, adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Perform quality control checks on finished products, ensuring that blends meet required specifications before moving on to the next production phase.
- Maintain accurate production records, including raw material usage, product output, and any deviations or equipment issues.
- Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of blending equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Work closely with the production team and other departments to maintain production schedules and meet daily targets.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to supervisors immediately. Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and plant-specific safety procedures.
You'll succeed if:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment, preferably in a chemical manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with blending or mixing equipment and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and formulas.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and experience working with hazardous materials.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments, including standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or blending operations.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment.
