We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Property Management Assistant to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist in managing lease or rental agreements, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and company standards
- Use property management tools such as Resman and Buildium to update records, process payments, and generate reports
- Support landlord-tenant law compliance, including Section 8 housing programs and Fair Housing regulations
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and oversee facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained
- Handle client communication with professionalism via phone, email, and in person, providing excellent customer service
- Conduct data entry, filing, and record keeping for legal documents, contracts, and tenant files
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting with financial documentation
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Section 8 housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Fair Housing laws
- Experience with lease or rental agreement management and contract negotiations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management effectively
- Office experience involving data entry, filing, Microsoft Office applications, and client communication tools
- Background in facilities management or property maintenance is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
