Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting ice cream flavors, beverages, and toppings with enthusiasm.
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, specialty drinks, smoothies, and milkshakes, following recipes and safety standards.
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, counters, equipment, and dining areas to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, give change, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure all products meet food safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and creating a positive atmosphere for guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems for retail transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods.
