We are looking for passionate, personable, and caring individuals to join our growing team. While we are especially interested in candidates with previous barista or specialty coffee experience, experience is not required. We are happy to train individuals who demonstrate a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality matcha, espresso-based beverages, specialty drinks, and seasonal menu offerings according to Homebody's recipes and standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting every guest with warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality.
• Create meaningful guest experiences through attentiveness, thoughtful interactions, and a welcoming attitude.
• Develop a thorough understanding of our menu, ingredients, and preparation methods to confidently assist guests.
• Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and attention to detail.
• Operate our Square POS system, accurately process transactions, and handle payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment throughout each shift.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities, ingredient preparation, restocking, and daily café operations.
• Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Support fellow team members and contribute to a respectful, encouraging, and collaborative work environment.
• Uphold Homebody's standards of hospitality, quality, cleanliness, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, specialty coffee, or food service experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidates.
• A genuinely positive, caring, and welcoming personality.
• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to learn new skills, accept constructive feedback, and continuously improve.

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid New Mexico Food Handler Card.
