What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Training Coordinator position at Old Souls Farm?
Job Summary - The purpose of the Production Training Coordinator is to make sure all production employees are compliant and up to date from a Safety, Quality, and Food Safety training, that vests and smocks are taken care of in a nice, neat and orderly fashion. Help translate and train employees on new processes and procedures, while using our new KPA software system.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads team members identify, manage, and execute the plant's process improvement opportunities
- Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues
- Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and waste.
- Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business results
- Provide employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively and correctly
- Enforce plant rules, regulations and procedures
- Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement
- Participate in the support of plant and company safety programs, promoting and maintaining a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, etc
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and communicate clearly.
- The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
- Required to follow the proper escalation processes when issues arise
- Distribute/Communicate major company issues and messages as directed.
- KPA system data logging
- Driving Work instruction implementation and improvements
Basic Job Requirements
- Able to prove 18 years of age or older.
- Able to prove status as U.S. Citizen, legal migrant to the U.S., or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Able to work overtime/weekends (if necessary) to complete daily required tasks.
- Able to take direction and carry out orders.
- Able to communicate clearly.
- Able to accept criticism/coaching and act accordingly.
- Knows basic English
- Complete all paperwork correctly and legibly
- Proficient with computers and software for training purposes
Physical Job Requirements
- Able to: * Stand and move on hard surfaces for extended periods of time (9-10 hour increments)
- Squat, crouch, kneel, and reach repeatedly over the course of a working day.
- Withstand cold temperatures for extended periods of time (as low as 34°F).
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift, Monday-Friday normally, could vary from Sunday night to Friday on Dayshift
- Flexible hours with 1st vs 3rd shift, will have proper notice when switching shifts.

Education:
- High school or equivalent
