What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Washer position at Old Salt Marine?
Duties
- Wash and maintain new and used stock inventory boats
- Clean and detail boats post-service and prior to delivery
- Assist with repower prep and final clean-up
- Help technicians with in-shop tasks and learn basic marine mechanical processes
- Assist with boat and engine transportation between facilities (when needed)
- Perform yard and facility maintenance, including:
- Sweeping and cleaning indoor/outdoor areas
- Restocking and maintaining restrooms and interior offices
- Assist with launching, retrieving, and participating in sea trials and water testing of boats
- Remain flexible and willing to shift between tasks throughout the day as priorities change
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors in Florida weather (heat, humidity, etc.)
- Comfortable with physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be open-minded, adaptable, and able to handle changing tasks without frustration
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
