Position at Old Republic Risk Management

Who We Are

Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) serves the casualty insurance needs of large corporate and group clients across many industries that are core to the North American economy. We operate with an unbundled claims and risk control model and have been a pioneer in alternative insurance risk management since the 1950s. ORRM has partnered with Fortune 500 companies and other large organizations for decades.

Lead Policy & Regulatory Compliance Analyst

We’re looking for a Lead Policy & Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance Operations team. In this role, you’ll serve as both a trusted subject matter expert and a hands-on leader — helping ensure regulatory accuracy, strengthening processes, and supporting the development of a high-performing team.

You’ll work closely with leadership and colleagues across the organization to keep operations running smoothly, improve quality, and support important compliance initiatives that directly impact our business and clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day brings something a little different in this role, which keeps the work engaging and rewarding. You’ll be a key resource for the team — helping solve challenges, improve the way we work, and ensure we continue delivering accurate, high-quality, and compliant results.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the Quality Assessment (QA) program, reviewing work, identifying trends, and providing thoughtful coaching and feedback to improve quality and consistency.
  • Serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical, procedural, and regulatory questions within the Pyramid Referral system.
  • Partnering with leadership to support workflow management, reporting, productivity tracking, and operational decision-making.
  • Helping coordinate daily workflow priorities to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Supporting projects related to regulatory changes, system improvements, and process enhancements.
  • Developing and maintaining procedures, job aids, and training materials that help the team stay aligned and successful.
  • Training, mentoring, and supporting team members through onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing development.
  • Providing advanced support across core Policy & Regulatory Compliance functions as needed.
  • Acting as a backup for leadership and helping drive continuous improvement efforts based on QA findings and operational insights.

What You Bring

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in policy, regulatory, compliance, premium, claims, or statistical reporting functions, including advanced technical and problem-solving responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of bureau reporting requirements and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Experience handling complex issues and finding practical, accurate solutions.
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Experience reviewing work, identifying trends, and providing coaching or feedback to others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort working with confidential information and exercising sound judgment.

Work-Life Balance

  • 37.5-hour standard workweek
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Casual business attire
  • Company events, volunteer opportunities, and team outings

Financial Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • 401(k) with company match and profit-sharing
  • Roth and 529 savings options
  • Employee referral bonus program

Health & Wellness

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts
  • Life, disability, accident, and critical illness coverage
  • Pet insurance
  • Calm app subscription
  • On-site fitness center (Brookfield, WI office)
