Summary:

The Commercial Portfolio Manager is primarily responsible for obtaining customer financial information in order to process renewals, modifications, and new loans to existing customers, as well as promoting company growth through loan production, business development, and brand visibility.


Essential Functions:

  • Monitor the existing portfolio to manage the upcoming maturities, financial reporting requirements, covenant checks, and modification requests.
  • Manage the appraisal process to include requesting bids, ordering appraisals, ordering reviews, etc.
  • Work with bank branches, business development officers, credit department, loan administration department and all other departments as necessary to provide exceptional service to prospects and clients.
  • Manage the environmental review process to include sending all received appraisals for review, and notifying the loan officer upon receipt of all information once complete.
  • Spread financial information upon receipt.
  • Underwrite renewals for existing customers.
  • Provide services for commercial loans under the guidelines of the Bank’s loan policy.
  • All employees will be responsible for understanding and complying with the letter and spirit of all government regulations including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, that apply to the bank’s specific operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Physical Demands:

This position requires sitting at a computer station or in a vehicle for extended periods of time.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible but should be agreed upon with the employee’s supervisor.


Travel:

This position occasionally requires traveling to client sites, off-site meetings, other ODNB branches and locations, and other business-related outings.


Work Authorization/ Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Requirements

Competency:

  • A working knowledge of the loan process, to include: the life cycle of a loan, the various relationships and interactions between banking cost centers, etc.
  • Proficiency in relevant systems, software, credit reporting application, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and with both internal departments and external customers.


Education and Experience:

  • 5 years in Commercial Lending; 10 years preferred.
  • Experience in various aspects of the full lending process preferred.
