Pharmacy Technician – Long Term Care
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our long term care pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a long term care (LTC) pharmacy setting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accuracy environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform data entry of patient and prescription information into the pharmacy management system
- Process and verify prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Perform medication administration record (MAR) batching, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for facility residents
- Collaborate with pharmacists, nursing staff, and facility coordinators to resolve prescription-related issues
- Maintain organized records and support overall workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Active Maryland State Pharmacy Technician License is required
- At least 1 year experience working in a long term care pharmacy is required
- Familiarity with MAR batching processes and LTC dispensing systems
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of prescription processing procedures and pharmacy compliance standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPhT certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Experience with PioneerRx
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.64 - $22.00 per hour
