Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following strict food safety sanitizing procedures
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing food items for service
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates to maintain a clean dining environment
- Operate basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, can opener, and food prep tools safely and efficiently
- Handle manual tasks including min. 50 lbs heavy lifting of supplies and moving stock within the kitchen area
- Support food handling procedures in accordance with sanitation standards and health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, and storage areas to uphold kitchen health and safety standards
Daily Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety protocols
- Displays teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations
- Prior experience in hospitality
