Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest service skills and a passion for providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable visit. At Oku, we aim to make tourists feel like locals and locals to feel like family. It's important that our team members are very personable and genuinely enjoy interacting with guests.
This job is part time or full time. We require everyone to work at least 4 shifts a week (at least 25-30 hours per week).

Duties
- Greet and welcome guests promptly upon arrival.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions regarding food preparation or ingredients.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while ensuring proper presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Ability to efficiently manage 6-10 tables at a time.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance their dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant is required.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Previous experience with Asian cuisine and/or sushi is not required, but highly desired.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services and hospitality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. We don't allow time off during the Summer season or a holiday weekend.
